The OroOrient guide

Style your ear at your own pace.

A clear starting point for placement, sizing and safe use. Always prioritize your professional piercer’s advice when making a decision.

01 · Placements

Every placement is different.

Everyone’s ear anatomy is different. A piece looking right does not mean it is anatomically suitable for that placement.

  • LobeA commonly chosen area on the earlobe that works with many combinations.
  • HelixOn the upper outer rim of the ear; may suit hoops and flat-back styles.
  • TragusThe small cartilage in front of the ear canal; careful sizing matters.
  • FlatThe broader area of upper cartilage, often considered for small studs.

02 · Choosing your size

A millimeter can make a difference.

Inner diameter, bar length and gauge affect both comfort and appearance. Measuring only the outside of your current jewelry may not give an accurate result.

The safest approach

Ask a professional piercer about initial jewelry, an unhealed piercing or any size you are unsure of.

03 · Care

A gentle touch, a calm routine.

01

Clean hands

Clean your hands before touching your jewelry or piercing.

02

Gentle cleaning

Follow the care routine recommended by your professional during healing.

03

Give it time

Do not change jewelry too soon; consult a professional about pain, redness or anything you are unsure of.

An important note.

This is general information and does not replace advice from a professional piercer or healthcare professional. Consult a qualified professional about healing, suspected infection or suitability.
